GTS Infotel Nigeria

Incorporated in 2005, GTS-Infotel Nigeria Ltd is a pioneer mobile VAS company in Nigeria, owning 2 types of VAS licenses:

 1. VAS / Shortcode license with a block of SMS Shortcodes, acting as a VAS Provider.

 2. A VAS / Special Numbering Service license with block of long VAS numbers in 0700 series in the national numbering plan, positioning itself as the first Mobile VAS Network Operator.

For more than 10 years, GTS-Infotel Nigeria has been a leading licensed VAS Provider specializing in the provision of premium SMS Shortcodes services across the 4 mobile network operators (MNOs), and the provision of Automatic Voice SMS solution to Globacom. Acting also as a content Aggregator, GTS-Infotel partners with various local and international content providers for the sourcing and integration of Caller Ring Back Tone (CRBT) content to mobile Operators’ portals (MTN and Airtel).

In July 2014, the NCC granted GTS-Infotel Nigeria a Special Numbering Service (SNS) license, the second type of VAS license in Nigeria, after 9 years of the first application. However, it is later in June 2017 that NCC finally allocated to GTS-Infotel 20,000 VAS long numbers in the 0700 prefix of the national numbering plan at standard rated tariff, which will be marketed as Longcodes.

With these new resources, GTS-Infotel is currently in process of interconnecting its Voipswitch & SMS Gateway platforms to all the mobile networks in order to introduce mobile DID services in Nigeria, by the provision of its 0700 Longcodes dedicated to Cloud Business Voice & SMS messaging services accessible to all mobile GSM subscribers. Our Voice/SMS Longcodes service offer will address the high demand from Value-Added Reseller partners (OTT communication service providers, ICT/Web service providers...).
